day 1 of my new life.

Just finished basic training.
I think I will go explore to the south.

First, shopping for supplies.

(shopping list) - Bread, heal potions, energy potions, robe.

(current Inventory) Staff, bed roll, leather boots, writing material, compass, ring of teleportation.

I love my gifts from trainer and father. My fathers gift is rare. I need to keep the ring in my pocket until needed.

day 1 entry 2

shopping done
Damn shop keepers are thieves.
Last time to sleep indoors with hot food in belly.

day 2

Grabbed a roughly drawn map from some street hustler yesterday.

So far, the map looks pretty accurate.
I found a remote place that looks safe for the night.
It was not easy to find either, I almost turned back to town..
killed mad wolves, bears, and even angry deer.
Most of the animals seemed to ignore me, but quite a few attacked with rage.
I am glad I was ready for battle.
Only needed 1 heal potion, but took alot of energy to kill them animals.
I think I will sleep good tonight.

I saw on the map what looks like some kind of town to south.

day 2 entry 2

wow, woke up after only a couple hours sleep to some loud sounds.
I decided this spot wasn't very safe after all.
heading south to try and reach that town.

day 3

Almost used up my respirate scroll.

The map failed to show the mountain wall on way to that town.
After finding a pass in the mountain I added what I saw of the mountain to map.

This pass looks like a better spot to rest.

day 4

Made it to the town.
Had some hard battles between pass and town.
One creature kept knocking me down.
Once I was able to focus, I managed to kill it with a few energy missles.

Found some coins and gems on those creatures.
I am guessing they steal from passing people.

I found a very knowledgeable trainer in town.
He told me to go practice my current teachings and return for more training when I have mastered them. (for a fee)

A couple of the shop keepers suggested that I head west of town to a cave.
I was told I would find evil creatures and people there and that I could make lots of coin and do the town a favor by killing them.

I was adviced against heading east out of town until I get better protection.

day 5

Restocked my supplies.
It's starting to look like all shop keepers are expensive.
I think I will practice my skill and grab some coin at same time in that cave.
From the past few battles I was in, I learned to keep my health potions handy as well as a couple of energy potions.

Rather then using up the energy in my ring, I decided to buy succor scrolls. they are only 1 time use, but replaceable.

Set a return location at the trainer in this town.

Reminder: need to set a succor location back at my home town when get back there.

Never know when a situation will be more then can handle.

Pouch is full now. but rather have this twig and heal potions handy.

Well, off to the cave.

day 6

Sitting outside of the cave. Man, those guys are tough.
Decided to jot some notes while I rest up from the intence battle inside.
I need to go in slower and stay near entrance.
A quick retreat every now and then will be my strategy for a while.
ok, rested up and energy restored. Staff in one hand and heal potion in other.
Going back inside.

day 6
entry 2

Back in that small town. I had to twig out of that cave.
almost died.
Sack full of loot, but not sure it was worth it.
Going to rest for the night and grab supplies.
Found a strange potion on one of those guys I need to find out what it is.

day 7

Found out the name of this town is Maeling while I was asking about the potion.
just talked to another traveller who was passing through. He sensed the item and looked through his notes. He told me it was a strength potion and that I could drink it and will help.
After I drank the potion, I felt invigorated.

day 7 entry 2

Walked outside this town to south side.
Those evil creatures are just as tough as that cave.
One almost killed me with a single hit.
I managed to drink a heal potoan and twig to the inside of the town.
I bought a couple more heal potions and slowly made way back to that spot.
I found the corps' from the ones managed to kill and searched.
Sure am glad I went back. Found gems and coins.
I am also glad that the creature that almost killed me had left the area.
It is starting to get late. I need to rest for tomorrow.

day 8

Decided to go see the trainer today. He decided, for a fee, it was time to teach me more.
I learned several useful things from him. how to cast respirate on my self so no need for scrolls. How to sense items to see more about them. How to cast a barrier to protect myself from fire. How to make an illusion and how to form a fireball.
wow, i have become very powerful in just a few days.
I can't wait to learn more and to explore the lands.

day 8 entry 2

Went back to that cave to west. wow, this fireball helps alot here.
Found another potion. After sensing it, I learned the ingrediants.
made some notes and asked the town alchemist. The alchemist told me, for a fee, that the potion was for increasing agility and it was safe to drink.
When I drank the potion I felt a tingling in my stomach.
I made arangments with the inn keeper for several nights stay.
I plan on cleaning out that cave to the west.
I can get lots of coin and practice my skills to the point of being a master mentalist one day.

day 9

I was doing well in that cave untill 6 showed and almost killed me with a rush attack.

I need to practice patience and caution along with my skills.

I can see I will be spending a long time in the cave.

Time to try out the teleport ring.
Following the directions father gave me.
Located a farely safe spot.
I put on the ring and start the memorize process.
After a couple minutes of my trans, I got the location in memory.

Now that the cave is set to memory and a fare amount of coin saved up, I can work on getting more coin and experence at this cave.

day 10

While relaxxing in maeling, another mentalist came through. We talked a while and he noticed my ring. He offered to charge up the ring with more energy.
I was shocked when he would not take coin for the service. He said he was happy to help a fellow mentalist.
I got his name and thanked him. When I sense the ring it has ample energy on it.
We parted company with a firm hand shake and well wishes.
